Mind Forge Camp

Mind Forge’s D&D camp programs turn epic fantasy adventures into powerful opportunities for personal growth. We use the shared challenge of the tabletop to help campers rehearse crucial real-world skills like leadership, communication, and creative problem-solving. It’s not just a game—it’s an intensive training course in being awesome.

In a camp setting, we move beyond just an hour of therapy into a total environment for growth. The multi-day structure means skills learned at the table are immediately practiced with the group, creating genuine bonds.

  • Mini-Campaign Intensives: Instead of quick weekly sessions, we run high-energy, multi-day D&D campaigns where success depends on the team. This concentrated time helps campers bond quickly, learn to trust each other, and practice negotiation when the stakes feel epic.

  • The Connected Camp: We blend the digital and physical. Campers might spend one afternoon building the terrain for their D&D dungeon out of LEGO. The activities flow seamlessly!

  • Built-in Wind-Downs: Our Miniature Painting sessions are perfectly timed for the high-energy camp day. They offer a quiet, low-sensory activity a "mindful moment" that's disguised as a cool hobby helping campers regulate their energy and focus before heading home or after high-stimulation activities.

The Single-Day Quest: High-Impact D&D Programs

image_edited.png

Mind Forge's single-day D&D programs are designed for maximum impact within a short timeframe, making them ideal for school PA Days, holiday camp programming, or as a specialized module to fill a day at an existing general camp.

  • The "One-Shot" Adventure: The core is a single, self-contained quest that begins and ends within the day. The entire narrative—character creation, adventure, and conclusion—is wrapped up in 4 to 6 hours .

  • Rapid Group Formation: The scenario puts campers into immediate teamwork. The challenge is introduced quickly, compelling participants to practice rapid communication and problem-solving to survive the day's "gauntlet."

  • Focus on a Single Skill: The quest is often designed around a specific therapeutic goal, such as conflict resolution (the party must negotiate a tricky alliance) or leadership (different campers are rotated into leadership roles).

  • Tangible Achievement: Campers don't leave with an unfinished story. They complete a quest, defeat a challenge, and receive a completed character sheet and a narrative summary of their deeds, reinforcing their sense of accomplishment.

Benefits for Your

Partnering Organization

The single-day program is structured to be easy on your logistics while delivering high-value programming to your clients.

  • Logistical Simplicity: As a partner (school or camp), you don't need to commit to a long-term schedule. This program is perfect for filling a single PA day or providing a specialized, value-added activity within an existing multi-week camp schedule.

  • Staff Overhead Reduction: Mind Forge provides the VSC-cleared, expert facilitator and all materials (dice, miniatures, custom narratives). Your staff are simply there for support, not for complex clinical facilitation.

  • Marketing Appeal: D&D is a popular hook. Offering a single-day, specialized D&D camp makes your program highly attractive to parents looking for engaging, enriching activities on school closure days.

  • Low-Risk Trial: For schools considering a deeper partnership, the single-day model serves as an excellent, low-risk way to test the quality and professionalism of Mind Forge's facilitation and therapeutic outcomes.
